Blog Post (Day 101-150)

Day 101: Overshot Again

Day 101:

Hey, welcome back everyone to the most popular uneventful blog around…it’s only the most popular because I said so…I figure I’m probably on the lower side if anything. Anyways that doesn’t matter now I hope you all had a good week and you’re ready to hear about mine and the failures that came with it. To say the least, this week could have gone better, and with that said let’s jump right into the goals this week and try to somehow find a positive.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – So for Plain Jane, the goal was to get it to 20000 words and after Thursday I believe it’s sitting just shy of 12000 words so I came in rather low on this goal and goal 2 isn’t much better. That’s pretty much all I have to say about this one, but I’ve changed how I got about my writing and I think I may have figured out a solution.

Goal 2: Blind Beauty Side Story 2 – With this goal I was hoping to get the story to 10000 words and I think at the moment it’s at 6000 words so again another failure in regards to the goals that I set myself but I’m hoping next week will be better.

Goal 3: Blind Beauty Side Story 1 – So if you can guess from the other 2 goals that the likely hood of this working out was far and in-between. I’m moving it to more of a weekend thing. Then there is also the new concept that the side stories will be pooled into one book so that it’ll be less to download and will feel more like a novel.

Goal 4: Advertising – Overall this was the only goal that met its requirements, yet I’m skeptical of saying that since I was hoping Blind Beauty would have had more traction and I kinda failed in regards to that but hoping to make amend by the end of the day since this whole week has been a bit of trainwreck.

Overall this week hasn’t been that great and there’s also snow coming down it just hasn’t worked out. I figured on Monday that I would fly through this but because I haven’t written in a while and been more focused on editing, I need to get back into the groove. So this weekend my focus is going to be on Side Story 1 and finishing its last edit. Then I’m hoping to make some ground with Blind Beauty later on today. Then the rest of the weekend will be focused on making some ground on the side story likely since I’ve allocated weekends for that stuff.  Anyways thank you for reading about my failures and if you want to see me fail some more come back on Monday and see what I decide to get up to. Also, remember that when times get tough Tomorrow’s A Different Day.

Till next time,

Day 102: Making Some Progress

Day 102:

Good Monday everyone,

I hope the weekend treated you well and that it didn’t get too stressful. I guess I’ll start off today by saying that there was a change of plans for me about what I decided to do this weekend. Originally I was going to finish the last edit of the first side story of Blind Beauty. However, instead of doing the first story, I attempted to get the second side story done and there is a bit of a plot dilemma, but I think overall I know how I’m going to end it. Also, I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned by me yet but the side stories, when they are released will be one big story, so a collection of 4 short stories in the Blind Beauty universe. I was also able to make more progress on Blind Beauty and getting it published and on Friday, there’ll be a link to the story here if you want to go check it out.

Anyways let’s get into this week’s goals, hopefully, I’ll actually be able to get some of them done this week unlike the unfortunate reality of what happened last week.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – So for this goal, I’m setting my sights a little lower this week, whereas last week I tried to hit a home run, this week I’m maybe looking at just trying to hit a double. (Baseball metaphors because why not.) Basically, if I can get Plain Jane to 15000 words I’ll be happy, 20000 would be ideal but I’m not expecting that. It’ll just depend on how much progress I can make, while not procrastinating.

Goal 2: Blind Beauty Side Story 2 – For this goal, it’ll be my focus during the nights of the week, personally I don’t think there’s much more to do storywise so it should be finished within the first couple days if I had to guess or that might just be hopeful thinking.

Goal 3: Advertising – This is a goal I know I can do, I think it’s also a writer’s Wednesday week so there will be multiple posts of Thirty Pound Backpack this week on all of the other socials that I use. For anyone who is currently in the market for a new ebook, as well as a good cry, I highly recommend you check it out.

Goal 4: Blind Beauty Side Story 1 – If everything goes well then I will look at doing the final edit of this but it’s not the top priority since there are still two stories left to do before it even gets a chance to be a book.

Other then that though, there isn’t much else that I have to mention. So with that said I hope you all have a great week and remember that Tomorrow’s A Different Day. Also if you want to see what happens and if this all plays out come back on Friday to find out.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 103: Better?

Day 103:

Well, yet again it’s Friday morning everyone as I write this. When you see this it may be a different day of the week but for me, it’s dark and early Friday Morning. As always those of you who are reading these words now, I hope you all had a good week and it wasn’t that bad, or maybe it was and for that I’m sorry but things can always change.

For me, this week has been a bit of a gong show and let me start off by saying that I suffered an injury this week, that I’m still kicking myself for. Basically, for the first time in my life, I lost a nail, a toenail to be specific when I kicked a set of weights. So that really sucks and is something I have to, unfortunately, deal with now on the regular. In terms of work though this week has been better than last, unfortunately, it hasn’t been perfect. So with that said let’s jump right into this.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – What I was aiming for, for this goal was to get it to 15000 words which I can happily say has been achieved already as I write this. At the moment the story is currently sitting at roughly 19000 words and by the end of the day I’m going to try and get it to 20000 and I figure that 1000 words won’t be too hard as I try to clean up this goal for the week, so it’s ready for when I return to it on Monday or possibly sooner.

Goal 2: Blind Beauty Side Story 2 – This goal is currently still in the process of being finished, I have worked on it every night like I promised to do, the story itself however and just the way my mind worked after writing Plain Jane 2 I was struggling to put words down and figure out where my characters were trying to take the story. I do however think I’m in the last scene for that story so as I wrap up Plain Jane 2 today I think I’ll try and finish this as well right after.

Goal 3: Advertising – So as I mentioned on Monday this week as I do every second week I posted a few extra times in regards to Writer Wednesday. Then, as usual, The Thirty Pound Backpack was posted on the multiple socials that I use. Which as always if you’re in the market for a new ebook I highly recommend taking a look at it.

Goal 4: Blind Beauty Side Story 1 – This goal is currently up in the air and it’s not making much leeway at the moment, so if I can wrap up goals 1 & 2 early on in the day tomorrow, I’m hoping to complete the final edit of this as well, so that would make the whole week a success but that’s only if I play my cards right.

Anyways besides those goals and how I decide to move forward today, that leaves the question of what will be done on the weekend. At the moment my main focus will likely be on getting this week’s goals done, and then once that’s all said and done I’ll probably prioritize Plain Jane and see if I can continue to move that along. Other then that I don’t have much else so if you want to see how this all plays out come back on Monday and find out and remember tomorrow’s a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 104: Calm

Day 104:

Good morning everyone,

I just wanted to start off today as I normally do by saying I hope you all had a good weekend and were able to relax before this new week started. Unfortunately, I fell victim to procrastination yet again and my weekend efforts were slightly delayed but thankfully I managed to get what I needed done, but at the cost of some free time.

To go into detail, I was basically hoping to focus on Plain Jane this weekend, while having everything else finished by Saturday afternoon, but I didn’t get what I needed to, done until Sunday afternoon so I kind of missed out on my opportunity to prioritize Plain Jane but I did make some progress on it. Now with that being said let’s jump into this weeks list of things to do. I’m hoping it’ll be calmer this week since I should have fewer things to do, but let’s get into the goals for this week and see.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – This week Plain Jane is going to remain the focus and I’m going to try and get another 10k words done so that it’s at 30k by the end of the week. It should be doable, but I guess we’ll have to find out. The end goal is to get to 30 chapters and I’m currently starting 8 so there’s still a ways to go.

Goal 2: Advertising – For this goal, I’ll now be focusing on The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty since it was officially announced this weekend. So I’m planning to just keep it basic and post it on the usual social media’s that Thirty Pound has been posted on prior so hopefully, this time around Blind Beauty manages to generate some attention.

Goal 3: New Project? – So I was thinking that if there was time, then I might make an attempt at a new project whether it’ll be Blind Beauty Side Story 3 or a new novel, I haven’t decided but I’m keeping it in mind for now, since there are a few stories that I have that I think I could bang out quicker then Blind Beauty, but I also have another romance story I’d like to do so there are decisions to be made.

Other than that though there isn’t much else that I have planned for this week, so with that said if you want to find out the results of what happens come back on Friday to find out. Until then though, remember that Tomorrow’s A Different Day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 105: Finally A Win

Day 105:

Happy Friday everyone, or at least it is somewhere in the world.

I just want to start off today’s recap of the week with a message about the Polar Vortex. So some of you that might read this are aware of the Polar Vortex that is currently passing over the continent, and I know it’s not much but I really hope you’re all doing what you can to stay warm. As for me, we believe that the vortex has now entered our area a few hours ago, so I’m currently bunkering down and waiting for it to pass. I guess that just means more writing time if I’m trying to look for a positive.

Anyways there isn’t much else to say before we get into the recap, so why beat around the bush, and let’s just jump right into it, since it’s a fairly simple week.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – As of Monday, I set a goal for this story to reach 30k words by the end of the week. Which as of Thursday, the story is currently at 32500. The primary goal this week was a success and as also mentioned I started the week at Chapter 8 in the story and currently it’s sitting at Chapter 13 so the chapters are definitely long, but it’s definitely a step up in the violence department in comparison to the first one.

Goal 2: Advertising – For this goal, I kept it pretty simple as I posted The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on the usual social media’s that I had been posting The Thirty Pound Backpack on previously. So to break it down simply for those of you who read this, and haven’t been here before. The Thirty Pound Backpack is Young Adult story that revolves around bullying in high school, it really hits hard. Then Blind Beauty is a Romance story about a teenage love triangle but also touches on concepts of mental illnesses as well. Each is only $0.99 so I think it’s definitely worth the investment.

Goal 3: New Project? – I’ll be straight up with all of you reading this, I forgot all about this goal. It genuinely didn’t even cross my mind until I saw it again now as I write this. So with that said it held up to goal 3 tradition and it wasn’t addressed during this week.

Overall I’d say it was a pretty good week, and I’m currently still trying to determine my gameplan for the year. For now, though, I’ll just be here dealing with the cold as I continue to write. Remember everyone if you’re also in this weather phenomenon then please stay safe, and as always Tomorrow’s A Different Day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 106: Hoping For Another Good Week

Day 106:

Good Monday morning everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend and were able to find some time to relax, and to those of you who are still dealing with the polar vortex, I hope you were able to stay warm. On a positive note I guess, the polar vortex where I am has just had it’s worse day and now everything should be slowly warming up but the seven-day forecast doesn’t provide much hope. However, let’s get back to business and continue this recap. So over the course of my frozen weekend, I was able to get 5500 words added to the story, and I’m rather happy about that, but I’m a little disheartened because the first story was 70K words which at the moment is seeming like a bit of a stretch to get to, and I’m thinking that I’m going to need a couple of plot twists. With that said let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – For this goal this week, I’m hoping to get Plain Jane 2 to 48k words, which may be a bit of a struggle since I do feel like I’m closing in on the end of the story and am currently trying to figure out what the best plan forward is while also having my characters dictate what happens. There are plot twists planned, but I’m not sure if they’ll be enough, I guess we’ll see.

Goal 2: Advertising – This goal is going to stay relatively the same as it usually does and The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will both be advertised on the usual social media’s and this week will also have a writers Wednesday post so that’ll add a couple more posts for advertising. Other then that though, and like previous weeks that’s about all I got so if you’re looking for a new Teen Fiction novel check out The Thirty Pound Backpack and if you want Romance, check out Blind Beauty, each are only $0.99.

Other than that I don’t think there is much else to mention, and I don’t plan on adding a goal 3 since those hardly seem to work out, so, for now, this is what my week is going to look like, and I hope all of you managed to have good week’s to and stop by on Friday if you want to see what really happened. Until then though, always remember that Tomorrow’s A Different Day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 107: Another Goal Hit

Day 107:

Welcome to Friday everyone, if you’re reading this then that means you made it. Congratulations and now you get the weekend to celebrate. However, why not let me waste some of your time before that with another Friday recap of what exactly I got up to this week.

Also before we get into the recap, let me just say those of you who had to deal with the Polar Vortex, I hope you were able to stay warm. It’s still lingering here partially but it’s slowly starting to warm up so I can’t really complain, and really that’s just another reason to celebrate. Anyways enough delays, and let’s jump right into this week’s recap.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – This week I was determined to get this story to 48K words, and as of last night I was able to get there. That being said today I’m hoping to add another 3K at the very least and then this might move along to a weekend goal but I’m not 100% sure about it yet but you’ll probably see this again in a couple paragraphs.

Goal 2: Advertising – As mentioned on Monday, this week I was doing Writer Wednesday, and I did just that. Both The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty were both shared multiple times, on varying social media’s. So I’m happy that I was able to get all of that done, and at the same time if anyone is interested in some cheap books, and are willing to help a new author out, both stories listed above are only $0.99 each so they really are a deal for over 600 pages of content. Just saying, you might have to skip getting a Slurpee, but these are also something you can read time and time again.

Other than that there isn’t much else to mention in regards to what I’ve done since it’s been another uneventful week, outside of writing so that’s that I guess. For this weekend though and mentioned above in another paragraph. I’ll probably keep my focus on Plain Jane this weekend, and try to get it roughly in the mid 50K mark so that next week I can hopefully end it altogether, and then there’s just one other story after before I move back to doing rewrites for Amazon.

So that’s my gameplan as of now but as always it’s subject to change. That being said, I hope that those of you reading this have a good weekend, and are able to find time to relax. I’m not quite there myself but I’m really hoping to be soon, and always remember when things get tough, Tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

Li. A. Wake

Day 108: Frozen Weekend

Day 108:

Good Monday everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend, and are ready for what will hopefully be another good week of work and school or just hanging out depending on your situation. If you’re me on the other hand and read the title of this post, then you have an idea of how mine went. Both days have been freezing cold -25 celsius both days and it’s currently snowing, so I’m looking forward to shovelling that.

However enough of the depressing stuff and let’s go into what I got done this weekend. So as mentioned in Friday’s post, my main focus remained on Plain Jane, and I can happily say that I managed to get to 56K words after starting the weekend at 48K so overall I think that’s a success and I landed at the mid 50K mark that I wanted so I’m starting this week strong. However, it’s time to get into what I want to get done today.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – So since I’m coming into this week with Plain Jane currently at 56K I’m going to try and keep pace and aim for at least 10K and if it exceeds that then I’ll be pleasantly surprised. After tomorrow I should have a pretty good idea about where I should be but until then the goal for this week is to get Plain Jane to 66K.

Goal 2: Advertising – Both The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will be shared on the typical social media’s that they are every other week, however, there won’t be a writer’s Wednesday this week, so they won’t be posted any additional times on other sites. That being said if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and if not cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Other than that there isn’t much else to mention in regards to what I have planned for this week, I’m trying to keep it pretty simple since I really just want to get Plain Jane done and then there’s one other story after, and then I’ll be back to making new content for Amazon so hopefully I can fly through these things quickly yet professionally so that it’s still a good product. Anyways if you want to find out how this week goes check back on Friday to see how this all plays out, and till then remember that Tomorrow’s A Different Day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 109: Getting My Groove Back

Day 109:

What’s going on everyone, welcome to the Friday of this week. I hope all of you were able to have decent weeks, and are able to relax this weekend. I also feel like I have to mention that I hope those of you that have significant others were able to have a decent Valentines day. If you’re single such as myself I hope you were able to land yourself some discount chocolate / candies because really that pretty much all this holiday is good for. That being said, enough rambling and let’s jump right into this week’s recap of the week, and add another chapter in this chapter of my writing journey.

Goal 1: Plain Jane 2 – Well as we get this started I’d just like to say this goal was a major success, and during this week I truly feel like I’m getting my writing groove back. At the start of this week, this story was at 56K words and I set a goal for myself to get it to 66K so a simple 10K goal but after these last couple days, I’m happy to report that the story is currently at 70K words. So overall this was a success.

Goal 2: Advertising – As mentioned on Monday and for many weeks prior The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty were both shared around on a few social media’s as normal like every other week, and with it not being writers Wednesday this week for me, they didn’t get shared any additional times. That being said if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again. (Yes I took these last couple sentences from 108 but it’s because I’m lazy and really it is the truth so can you really blame me? lol)

Overall that’s pretty much how the week went. I kept it simple and it turned out to work out in my favour. However, at the same, I’m hoping that this pace continues, since it would really help in clearing some ground. That being said, turning my attention to the weekend, my plan overall is to complete Plain Jane since it’s so close, and then once that’s completed I’ll be starting the third and final additional of the Fate Anderson series which should be roughly quick and easy to get done as long as I don’t jinx myself. If you want to find out more though or see how things play out. Come back on Monday and see what I got done, and what’s on the horizon. Until then though, take it easy, and remember tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 110: New Week, New Story

Day 110:

Good morning or afternoon or maybe even night depending on when you’re reading this. For me, it’s currently Monday morning, and I’m just so excited to start a new week…I wish that wasn’t sarcasm. Truthfully the snow that is once again on the ground is bringing a damper on my mood, and I haven’t seen the sun in days. Oh well, what can you do, since we can’t change the weather? What I can do though is tell you about what I have planned for this week and as you can see in the title new things are happening.

To start off let me quickly recap the weekend. To put it simply as of Friday, I completed Plain Jane 2, as it rounded off at 73K words. Overall I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out, however before I take it to editing, I figured I’d tie up my other loose end and just do them both at the same time. So with that said, I think that’s a good transition into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Fate Anderson 3 – This is the third installment in the Fate Anderson series, and I started it this weekend. At the moment it’s sitting at 3300 words so it’s going good so far, but at the moment the story seems to be guiding itself, as I continue to try to figure out the end game. I have a couple of ideas, the only question is which one I want to use, and I can’t help but debate whether to do a happy ending or a sad ending. Decisions, decisions. That being said, I’m only giving myself two weeks to work on this story since I think I’ll be able to get it done in that time frame. The word goal for this week just to test the waters, is 17K mainly because I want to push myself, and because I think I’m finally back in the right mindset to get that much done, I guess we’ll see what happens.

Goal 2: Advertising – For advertising The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty this week, it’s a writer Wednesday week again so they’ll be posted a couple extra times. Mainly they’ll be posted on their regular social media’s then again on Wednesday. That being said if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

So that’s pretty much all that I have planned for this week, I don’t think I’ll have time for a third goal, so I’m not going to even bother since most of my focus will be on Fate Anderson 3 and getting that completed as soon as I can. I want it to be the same length as the other’s so I’m gonna have to look in that later today to just kind of gather my bearings and come up with a strategy to get it completed. Anyways, I’m just rambling now, so I’ll let you continue with your Monday, but if you’re curious to see how things play out check back on Friday for the recap. Till then, I hope you all have a good week and remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 111: According To Plan

Day 111:

Happy Friday everyone…I’m not sure if that’s how I started last Friday’s recap but screw it that’s how we’re doing it this week. I hope you all had a good week and were able to find time to relax and have some fun. For the most part, my week has been plagued with snow and cold temperatures. So I’m just thankful that today it’s supposed to be closer to not freezing and might actually start melting some of Canada’s worst nightmare.

That being said as you can see from the title you may have already figured out how my week went, and I can say for sure that it did, in fact, go to plan. So let’s get right into it.

Goal 1: Fate Anderson 3 – So this week I mentioned how I started the third installment of Fate Anderson series. Starting this week I was at 3.3K words and I set a goal for myself to get to 17K which I can happily say that, that was achieved last night. So I think it’s safe to say that I’m back in the right mindset as I continue on my writer’s journey. How if I were to say how the story itself is going, the only word I’d be able to use is interesting. I don’t have a complete game plan for the story but I do have some ending idea’s that I’m currently playing with. Whether it’ll be a happy or sad ending well that’ll be up to interpretation I think.

Goal 2: Advertising – On the advertising front this week, The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty were promoted to the extent that I had initially planned for them to be. Since it was a writer’s Wednesday week, they were promoted a few extra times even here on blogger so overall I’m happy that, that went well and as is routine here, if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Anyways that’s pretty much it for what I got done this week, and when it comes to the weekend, I’ll likely be swamped with dealing with Fate Anderson 3. Since it’s at 17K as I’m posting this, I’m hoping over the weekend I can get it somewhere between 23K – 25K words. After today it should be at 20K and then it’ll be up to Saturday and Sunday to see if it reaches its goal.

So that’s pretty much all I have for this Friday recap and if you’re interested in finding out what happened over the weekend. Come back on Monday and check out what I got myself into, and become a part of this writing journey. Till then remember that no matter how bad things may seem, tomorrow will always be a different day and with that said I hope those of you that read this have a great weekend.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 112: So That Happened

Day 112:

Good Monday Morning everyone, it’s that time of the week again that we all dread. The start of the work week, however, it’s important to stay positive, even though here I’m still dealing with freezing temperatures. It’s almost spring but it feels like winter. Welcome to Canada I guess. Anyways, we’re not here to talk about the weather, we’re here to recap the weekend and talk about what’s been going on with the story that’s currently being worked on.

So as I mentioned on Friday I was hoping to get the third installment of Fate Anderson to 23K – 25K words well as the title for this post may suggest, something shocking happened and not only did I get to 25K words, I instead got to 30.5K words so some significant progress was made this week and sets me on a course that makes it seem like I’ll hit my goal by the end of Friday this week that being said. Let’s get right into the goals for this week.

Goal 1: Fate Anderson 3 – With the story already over 30K words it puts me right on track for a completion date sometime this week, which is honestly a huge weight off my shoulders if it just so happens to work that way. Basically, though, the goal for this week is to add another 13K – 15K to the story to which at the point I think it’ll be complete. That being said the only way this truly works out in my favour is if I keep to my 4.5K a day I’ve been managing and unfortunately today is already looking booked up, so by the Friday recap I’d be happy to have this done, but I’ll definitely have it completed before the weekend I think.

Goal 2: Advertising – While Fate Anderson 3 may remain the top priority this week, on the sidelines, The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will both be advertised on their usual sites that I post them on, in hopes that they get some traction this week. That being said if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Goal 3: Editing – Hey everyone, look it’s the infamous goal number 3. This goal as those who have seen this blog before knows generally doesn’t get any attention in the week, will that be the case this week? Probably, but I’m holding out hope that at the end of these next seven days, I’ll have both Plain Jane 2 & Fate Anderson 3 done and ready to be posted to my Wattpad account. So here’s me keeping my fingers crossed.

Alright, so that basically concludes my list of things I need to do this week, or at least what I’m hoping to do. If you’re curious about what happens come back on Friday and check it out, or if you want to follow me on my writing journey, then why not follow the blog or follow me on twitter for when updates are posted. You can find my twitter here: https://twitter.com/LiAWakebooks

Anyways till next time everyone, remember that no matter what happens, tomorrow will always be a different day, so always try to wake up positive or at least moderately happy until you get your coffee.

Day 113: Wow

Day 113:

Wow. That’s pretty much all that I can say to describe this stellar work week. I exceeded even my expectations for how this week was gonna go and I look forward to recapping that here in just a moment. That being said I shouldn’t rush the introduction, and for those of you who are currently reading this and sitting on the edge of your seats, wondering what exactly did, which I’m sure you all are…I know you’re not, I also understand if you’ve already clicked away, but if someone is reading this just know I really appreciate it and I hope you have an awesome weekend, or week depending on when you read this. Anyways let’s get right into it.

Goal 1: Fate Anderson 3 – Alright so to start off this Friday recap let’s take a look at Fate Anderson 3. As I mentioned on Monday my main goal for this week was to get this story completed by the weekend, and I’m happy to say that somehow and someway I miraculously had this done on Wednesday this week, and spent Thursday proofing it but that will be talked about more in Goal 3. Basically, though, this goal was a major success and has given me hope for the stories, that’ll soon be on the horizon.

Goal 2: Advertising – As it’s always mentioned on Friday, the advertising for The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty have gone as they normally do. They were posted on the usual social media’s that they got posted on and they did see a small sliver of progress this week, which all in all I think is just the way of the writer struggling to get their work out there. That being said if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Goal 3: Editing – So as usually mentioned in these weekly recaps, Goal 3 is infamous for never being touched or having progress made by or after this blog post is written, that I think for the first time, since starting this, I can happily say Goal 3 wasn’t a disappointment this week, since as of yesterday I officially started editing both Plain Jane 2 & Fate Anderson 3, and for the most part it’s going well even though in the back of my mind I’ll soon be wanting to pull my hair out. Pray for me.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I have to talk about this week. For the weekend I’m likely just going to be focusing on editing since there are about 200 pages that need to be addressed but I’m hoping by Monday I can announce what the next Amazon book I plan on writing will be, or maybe I’ll go back to the Blind Beauty side stories. There are options, so if you want to know what I decide I’ll see you back here on Monday.  Till then remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 114: The Start Of Something New

Day 114:

Hey guess what everyone, it’s Monday, and you know what that means *insert what you think it means here because I have nothing*. Isn’t that crazy who would have thought that’s what that would mean. Wow. Anyways I hope you reader who is reading this had a good weekend this weekend and were able to find some time to relax. If not well there’s always next weekend so don’t fret. That being said my weekend was on the busier side of things.

As I mentioned on Friday, for the weekly recap, I mentioned how I was going to try and edit both Fate Anderson 3 & Plain Jane 2. I can happily say that both of those stories have been completed and will be posted by the chapter on my Wattpad Account. However, with that said let’s stop talking about the past and get into what’s going to be going on this week.

Goal 1: New Story – So, unfortunately, I’m leaving this one a little bit vague this time around because I’m still not set on what story I’m looking to pursue in the coming weeks. A part of me is leaning towards doing the side stories for Blind Beauty since there’s two more of those to do, which if things go according to plan, I may be able to get both of the first drafts done by the end of the week. Then, on the other hand, I could start an entirely new novel but I still have to decide on the formatting I want to do, and how I want to approach the perspectives of it. So that’ll be something to be revealed on Friday.

Goal 2: Advertising – As is a tradition at this point in time for this blog. Goal 2 is reserved for advertising my stories, The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. I’ll also be doing some writer Wednesday stuff this week, so hopefully, they’ll get around. That being said if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Other then what’s mentioned above, I don’t feel comfortable adding a goal three, so for this week, I’ll only be focusing on these things. It should be interesting overall to see how things go, and if you want to know what’s currently in development here, then check back on Friday for updates and be the first to know about new stories and their progress. Till then I hope you all have amazing weeks, and I’ll be back on Friday for the weekly recap, and remember when life gets tough, Tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 115: New Story Inbound

Day 115:

What’s going on everyone I hope you had an awesome week and were able to work hard and get lots done, or kick back and relax and enjoy the sun that is if you have sun. If you’re like me and live in the cold abyss referred to as Canada then you may have already forgotten what the sun looks like, however if you knew what the sun looked like then that likely means you stared at it and very likely could be blind now, so you wouldn’t see the sun anyways enough of that. If you’re reading this then you’re likely here for a recap of what went down this week and I’m here to say not much other then what the title states, so let’s get right into it.

Goal 1: New Story – So as was mentioned on Monday, this week I was looking to start a new story. At the time I didn’t know what I was going to choose to do since there is a fair amount on my plate, in regards to stories, and side stories. This week though I decided to finish up the Blind Beauty side stories. Currently, it’s at 11K words after 3 days of work on it, there were some hiccups earlier on and I did intend to be starting the final side story later on today, but that’s currently up in the air whether it’ll be possible. Only for that to happen, I need to get 4K words done today and still have the motivation to continue writing lol. Anyways as a little teaser, the third side story involves a sleepover, and it’s not as positive as it may sound. However, if you don’t know the story you should definitely check it out, a link to it is down below in Goal 2.

Goal 2: Advertising – Well this goal, as usual, is one and the same. This week I did a Writers Wednesday, and promoted both The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty a couple extra times, to just get them out there again. Unfortunately, not much came from it, but as mentioned above if you’re interested in the side stories mentioned above then definitely take a look at Blind Beauty, so you can get acquainted with the story and the characters. Also if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out the stories mentioned above. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Alright everyone, that pretty much covers everything involving my writing journey this week, it certainly has been a week of getting stuff done, and I hope that continues into next week, and I can get the final side story done for Blind Beauty, which if everything goes well that’ll start this weekend at some point, I’m hoping for tomorrow but we’ll see. If you want to find out what happens this weekend, come back on Monday, and till then remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time everyone,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 116: Still Trucking Along

Day 116:

Well, it’s Monday again, which means it’s time to get back on the old horse and endure another five days. I hope all of you who read this have a good work week, whether it’s full time or part-time they can both be stressful, so I hope if anything you take the positive vibes that I’m trying to transfer through the screen. *wiggles fingers at the screen* Anyways I think I’ll be having a better week this week since the snow is supposed to finally melt, I hope that’s actually what happens.

Alright, sorry I got distracted with introductions again. Let me quickly discuss what has gone on this weekend. To put it simply, and like I had mentioned on Friday, I focused the majority of my time working on the final Blind Beauty side story, and as of this morning as I write this the story is currently sitting at just over 6K words. However, I also worked on some covers for a couple new Wattpad stories that’ll be premiering over there. If you want to check the stories out here’s a link: https://www.wattpad.com/user/LiAWake

Now let’s get down to business for this week.

Goal 1: Blind Beauty Side Story 4 – So as mentioned above, the story is currently at 6K words, and I’m hoping to get the story done within the week. If all goes well I’d like to have it done by Wednesday so that I can start on the next big project which will be talked about later in infamous Goal 3. Spoiler there’s a Goal 3 this week. Anyways before I get distracted the basic goal for the side story page wise is 27 pages since then it’ll roughly be the same as the other three, which then leads to one of the dilemmas that’s I’m currently having in regarding whether or not I should release each story individually or as a collection. Guess we’ll find out together when the time comes.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always Goal 2 relates to my current novels that are lingering on Amazon; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. They’ll be posted on their usual social media’s as always and I’m praying that maybe then get some attention this week. However, as mentioned above if you’re interested in the side stories for Blind Beauty then definitely take a look at Blind Beauty so you can get acquainted with the story and the characters. Also if you’re interested in cheap books and over 600 Page’s of content, check out both stories. They’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Goal 3: Next Novel – Here we go. The infamous Goal 3. So if you made it this far you probably seen this mentioned in Goal 1. As the title says for this goal if I can get the side story for Blind Beauty done by Wednesday or even Thursday then I’ll start this new novel, and as a little teaser, it’s a romantic adventure story which may become two books depending on how I choose to go about it. I’ll figure it out don’t you worry.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I have for today, so again I hope you all have a good week, and come back on Friday if you’re interested in updates. Also, remember that no matter what happens tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 117: Steady Pace

Day 117:

Well, it’s finally that time of the week again where I fill you in on what I’ve been up to this week. Let me start off though by saying that I hope you all had a good week whether it be productive or relaxing I hope it was good, and if that wasn’t the case then I’m sorry but it’ll get better. Anyways let’s get down to business here, and recap what exactly had been going on.

Also on a quick side note, the temperatures are finally above zero in the frozen wasteland here, so things are finally starting to melt, and I’ve finally seen the sun again after months of clouds. Oh, what a glorious week it’s been. Anyways let’s get back to the regularly scheduled programming which is this weekly recap.

Goal 1: Blind Beauty Side Story 4 – So at the start of this week I was hoping to get this story done by Wednesday this week but unfortunately that didn’t really go according to plan. I did get this story done this week, ending it at around 15K. What didn’t go to plan was when I finished it. The story was longer then I had anticipated it to be, so it required another half day to complete. So that’s how I spent Thursday morning. Now, this just needs to be edited just like the others, so they’ll be debuting shortly.

Goal 2: Advertising – Well as normal this was pretty simple and the stories were posted as planned, as well as followed with a prayer, but I’m not religious so you can probably guess how that went. Anyways if you’re interested in The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty then definitely check them out on Amazon. Over 600 Page’s of content and they’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Goal 3: Next Novel – Well here it is, Goal 3. The infamous Goal 3. However, it may soon lose that title because once again Goal 3 has been breached and things have been happening. Managing to start it yesterday and continuing it some more today, there’s finally a new novel in the works that will soon be joining Blind Beauty and The Thirty Pound Backpack. This one is yet again another Romance but this time it’s more of an Adventure story so keep coming back for frequent updates to see what you can get a copy for yourself, and this will likely be what consumes the majority of my weekend.

Anyways I don’t have much else to discuss for what happened this week. Overall it was pretty calm and I’m hoping to make some serious progress this weekend on the new story. If you want to see how far I get this weekend, then come back on Monday to see what happened. Till then remember that tomorrow is always going to be a different day, so turn that frown upside down because anything can happen in the course of twenty four hours.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 118: Chapter After Chapter

Day 118:

Good Monday morning everyone. I just want to make sure that it’s clear that I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible. That is unless you have today off then it probably is a good day for you. That being said for the rest of us, it’s time to get back to business, and I’ll lead the charge by going through what’s been happening this weekend, with my projects.

To start let me just get the less than exciting stuff out of the way. Basically, when I had some free time I learned some new things in photoshop, which I still need to write down but it might be useful for future book covers, or just redoing the old ones, the options are certainly open. Then I also played with the thought of writing movie reviews, but I never really acted on it even though I had an ample amount of time. No, instead there was only one thing that really kept my attention this weekend and that was the current project, which is going really well.

At the end of Friday I only had 5K words and currently, the story is up to 12K words so it’s been a busy weekend. I averaged about 3K words each day and at the moment I’m currently five or so chapters into the story. However, before I get into to much detail, let’s move onto the goals, where I can discuss what the game plan will be for this week.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – As mentioned above this new rewrite had consumed the majority of my weekend and for my goal this week I’m hoping to hit 24K words since I think that’ll be possible between Tuesday – Thursday. Today I have pretty much booked up and also a hair cut which will cut into the time a bit, so I’m not holding out making massive strides today. Then on Friday, we’ll ultimately see where I am in relation to the goal, but I think 4K words is the normal for me right now so it should be possible.

Goal 2: Advertising – This week I’ll once again be doing Writer Wednesday, and for those who don’t know that basically means that my stories The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will be posted an additional couple of times on social media. One of those times will be here but why wait till Wednesday when you can get a copy right now on Amazon. Together, they’re over 600 Page’s of content and they’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I got for this week. Remember to come back on Friday for another update to see how the story’s going so you can be the first to know when it goes live or if there are any special promotions going on. Until then though remember that tomorrow will always be a different day, so if one day gets you down you never know what tomorrow will hold.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 119: A Small Hiccup

Day 119:

Seriously it’s already Friday again? Where does the time go? I guess it’s like they say, time really does fly when you’re having fun playing god and creating new worlds with characters you can bend to your whim, while also creating a story to go with it. That’s the saying, right? Meh, either way, it’ll do. With that said let’s kick off this Friday recap so I can tell you about the little hiccup I experienced, which was basically motivated by procrastination and the fascination with photoshop. To put it simply I’ve been learning new effects and sometimes I lose track of times. Alright, you’re caught up now time to review this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – This was this week’s main goal, and I set a goal of hitting 24K but unfortunately that just didn’t work out. Instead of getting 24K I only got 22.5K, coming in 1.5K words under my goal. That being said that shouldn’t be hard to hit today and at the very least I’m hoping I can end this week with 26K. Overall it shouldn’t be that hard of a goal to hit.

Goal 2: Advertising – As mentioned on Monday, I did Writer Wednesday and posted both The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on here and other social networks on Wednesday this week, which ultimately paid as usual. I really need to find like a free place to fight reviewers for my stories. That being said if you’re reading this you can get a copy right now on Amazon. Together, they’re over 600 Page’s of content and they’re both $0.99 so it’s a great deal, and cheaper then water at a convenience store and the best part is you can enjoy them over and over again, again unlike water at a convenience store. So if you’re willing to take a chance on my writing It’d be really appreciated.

Alright now that we have that out of the way. It’s time to focus on what’s going on or at least what I have planned for this weekend. Like last week I’m putting all my eggs into one basket, and I’ll be working on my current WIP and I’m hoping to get it to at least 32K words. I’m closing in on the tenth chapter and it’s already 40 pages in so if I could start next week at 50 pages I think that would be ideal.

Other than that though there isn’t much else going on and I just want to say thank you to those of you that’ll read this. The support really means a lot and I feel in some way it inspires me to keep moving forward and to never give up on this dream of mine that I’m chasing. Anyways till Monday remember that tomorrow’s a different day and anything could happen.

Till next time everyone,

– Li. A. Wake.

Day 120: On Track

Day 120:

Another chapter, Another week. It’s hard to believe it’s already time for one of these again. Before we jump into anything though I just want to say that I hope you all had a good weekend, or at the very least were able to mellow out, and just take it easy at some point to just lower that stress level, and not have to adult for a while. If you didn’t get that chance though, I hope it’ll happen soon, since we all deserve the occasional break. That being said my weekend was as lame as usual, just writing and procrastinating but at least a fair amount of progress was made on my story, while next week I start a wedding photography class but that’s a whole other set of worries. For now, we’re just focusing on books here and with that said let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – As usual the primary goal this week is the current novel being developed. Over the weekend I set myself a goal to get to 32K words and I can happily say that I did, in fact, get to that point, which sort of lines me up well for this week. Basically what I have in mind is a copy of last week’s goal. This week I’m aiming for 44K words by Friday. I failed this goal last week due to procrastination, so this week I’m determined to redeem myself and get it done. That being said the days that’ll focus on this goal are Tuesday – Thursday since my day will likely be packed tomorrow.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always this goal’s primary focus is on advertising The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. So far these stories are still at a crawl but I might plan a free promotion for them again in the near future so keep an eye out on here for more details on that to come. For now, they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories.

Goal 3: TBD – So basically I’m not planning on actually going through with a third goal this week, but it’s here because I’ve found that I give myself a small break during the day to just do whatever, and I’m considering using that time, in an effective way to get a little bit more done. So we’ll see.

Anyways that’s pretty much all that I have for today. Hopefully, I can redeem myself and get to the 44K mark or even higher, until then though remember to take a break when you need to, and no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Until next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 121: The Sky’s The Limit

Day 121:

Good morning everyone, I hope you were all able to have decent days and were able to get a fair amount done. In my case, everything went rather swimmingly other than one day having a sudden snowfall, but that only lasted a day, and hopefully, it won’t be coming back for a few months. That being said, that was the only slight hiccup that I really faced this week, and even then it was a mild inconvenience. At the same time I wish I had something a little wittier, but really it’s been a rather melancholy week.  That being said let’s get into recapping the goals for this week.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So with this being, this week’s primary goal, it got all the attention at always. On Monday when I made this goal, my story was only at 32K words and as of this morning, it’s just under 46K which is over the set word goal for the week. Overall I was only aiming for 44K which required 12K at the start of the week, and it was all in an effort to redeem myself for what happened last week, now with everything where it is. I think I rebalanced everything and there’s still the entire day to capitalize on what’s left of the week and I’m hoping for 50K by the end of the today.

Goal 2: Advertising – If you’ve been here before you likely know how this all played out, if you’re new then let me fill you in. Basically every week I promote what is currently my only two novel-length stories, The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on social media. This goal is basically just so people I’m not giving up on them and with that said they were once again shared, with minimal payback but it is what it is. Tomorrow’s a different day. That being said they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories. Just a thought.

Goal 3: TBD – This goal started as TBD but it’ll end this week DNH, did not happen. There’s nothing new here so just keep going.

Alright, that pretty much sums up everything that happened this week. I wish I could say it was a little more exciting and next week there may be some small changes but nothing crazy, other then may a small alteration to the word goal. That’s next weeks problem though, for now, it’s time to focus on the weekend. As one may expect I’ll be working on my novel, and if I can get to 50K by the of today then the weekend goal will be 56K words since that seemed to work last weekend.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I have for yall today, and I hope that you’ll check back on Monday to see what’s going down. For now, though I hope you have a good weekend, and always remember that’s tomorrow’s a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 122: Still Moving Forward

Day 122:

Here we are, back again for another Monday recap. I swear the days just fly by absurdly fast, but hey whatever it’s not like life’s a race or anything. Besides as much of a lonely introvert thought, this is. If days are flying by fast and I don’t have very much of a social life, then does that mean I’m doing something right? You tell me.

Anyways enough about my sad social life, and actually get into the business side of things. Mostly in regards to this week’s goals. Before that though let me just quickly recap what happened this week. To start if you were here on Friday I mentioned that by the end of the day I wanted to have 50K words and I can happily say that, that goal was achieved. Then I set a goal for the weekend, and I wanted to end last night at 56K which again was a success so overall it was a really effective weekend. However, it’s time to talk about this week and what the game plan is.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – If this one wasn’t obvious then clearly this is the first time you’ve been here. However, if you did realize this was happening then welcome back, and let me just say I’m gonna take a small chance this week, and by the end of Friday I want to have 70K words. I’m adding 2K words onto what last weeks word goal was taking it from 12K to 14K however I’m extending it to all week, since aside from writing I’ll be starting a wedding photography class this week so I’m not sure what exactly my writing days will look like. Still, I think 14K will be more than possible.

Goal 2: Advertising – It’s an even week for me which means it’ll be another Writer Wednesday. For those of you who are new here or don’t know what my schedule really pertains to. Basically every other week I advertise my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on multiple social medias, on one extra day of the week. That being said since you’re here you might like to know that they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories.

Other then that though, I don’t have much more planned for this week since I’m still trying to gauge how everything is gonna go exactly. So with that said I hope you all have a good week and hopefully I’ll see you all back here on Friday. Till then though, always remember that Tomorrow’s A Different Day and anything could happen.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 123: Slightly Behind

Day 123:

Welcome back everyone to this uneventful little blog of mine. This week if you’ve already read the title, you may have a general idea of what’s gonna be going on in this blog update. However, before we get to that let me go off script a little bit since for once there was something a little different that happened this week. So basically I took my first photography class that’s focused primarily on weddings. For the most part, it was an interesting experience and I’m looking forward to seeing where the road in my life takes me.

Although that’s pretty much all I got for that. Now it’s time to get back on topic which is the events of my writing this week and for the most part, they aren’t bad but I’m glad I gave myself to the end of today to finish since I am slightly behind. With that being said let’s jump right into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So for this goal this week I set a word goal of 14K which at the start of the week I was at 56K, meaning that I want to end this week at 70K. At the moment I’m only at 67K so there’s still a big day of writing ahead of me, that I need to dive into which shouldn’t be too bad, and I’m also thankful that I’m officially over the halfway point in my story and if all works out I think the story has the potential to finish close to 130 – 140K words, but that’s being optimistic and it’s still too far ahead in the future to know for sure. SO overall I feel that this goal was and will be a success to some degree. Basically, I know my limits.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always this goal has adopted the place of advertising, and as usual this was a success because it was so basic. Also, this week, since it is an even week in accordance to when I started this writing journey, I did Writer Wednesday and posted my stories on more social networks then I usually do. Even on here but if you missed those let me give you a quick update on my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. You might like to know that they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I have in regards to that aspect of the week, and now to focus on today and the weekend. The goal for today is to get to 70K no matter what, while the weekend hopefully I’ll be able to get to 76K then assess how the next week will go. Other then that though I don’t have much else to inform you, and with that, this blog post comes to a close and I hope that you all have a good weekend, and maybe I’ll see you again here sometime. Till then remember that tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 124: Slow Week Ahead…Maybe

Day 124:

Well, it’s Monday the biggest joke day of the week. That being said I hope you all had a good weekend and were able to relax and chill before this new week started. That being said as you may have noticed from the title, I’ve described this week as a slow week since as I mentioned last week I started a wedding photography class. Unlike last week where it was just one day, this week it’ll be two and I think that’s going to hinder, how much I get done, while at the same time, my Monday is already booked a fair bit.

Anyways I think that’s enough talk about what else is going on in my life, and it’s time to focus more on the writing aspect of things since that’s what this blog is currently dedicated to. For those of you who were around on Friday, you may recall that I set two goals for myself. For Friday my goal was to get the story to 70K words and for that, I have to say that I achieved it. Then the weekend goal was to get my current story to 76K and I can happily say that I got it to 77K so I’m 1K words over at the start of the week. That being said let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So as always the main goal for the week revolves around my current WIP. As mentioned above it’s currently at 77K words and for this week, with the small hindrances that have presented themselves, I’m only aiming for 87K word, but if I could get to 90K by the end of Friday, I’d be happy. So just so it’s set in stone by the end of Friday I want to be at 87 – 90K words, and I think that’ll be more than achievable.

Goal 2: Advertising – So as usual my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will be posted on their usual social media’s, and since it isn’t a Writer Wednesday week for me, they’ll only be posted in a couple places. That being said they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories.

Anyways that’s pretty much all that I’m prepping for this week. Overall it’ll be setting the tone for next week since my schedule will likely be identical to this one. So with that said, I don’t think there’s much else to mention here. I am looking at somethings going into the future of my content, but other than that it’s just another normal week, and remember tomorrow’s a different day.

Till next time,

Day 125: Rough Week

Day 125:

Hey, how’s it going everyone?

I hope you all had a good week this week, and from the title of this blog post, you can probably tell that this week was a bit of a rougher one for me. Part of it is due to procrastination, and the other bit of it is due to bad luck. The procrastination part is pretty self-explanatory. Then there was also my wedding photography class that I’ve mentioned the last couple of posts, and I think that did a number as well. However the biggest downer of the week, was when the screen of my Apple watch popped out, it’s a series 1 so it’s not worth getting it repaired for $260 dollars so I found an alternative of finding a case that covered up the seam for twenty bucks and it’s pretty much good as new. So that’s a slight win there.

That being said you’re not here to hear about that stuff, or maybe you are which if that’s the case then cool. That being said it’s time to jump into recapping this week’s goals and that’s where things sort of gets interesting.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – Alright this week this goal sort of took a hit because of what was mentioned above. Overall I only set myself a goal of 87K and as I write this I’m currently at 85K words so I’m still a little ways away, but it’s definitely doable. However, there may come a time tomorrow where there’s another small-time obstruction so that may end up costing me a bit. That being said the ultimate goal of 90K doesn’t seem to be achievable at this point.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always this goal is pretty black and white. Basically, I promoted my two novels; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on the usual social media’s that I use. Mainly just twitter for this week, as well as here, so it is what it is. That being said they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories.

So that pretty much covers everything that happened in my little writing world today. Moving onto the weekend, the plan will be to primarily focus on my current WIP since it is coming under the recommended word count, and there’s only a handful of chapters left to write. So overall today I’m hoping to get the story to 87K as initially planned and then over the weekend the goal will be 93K and we’ll go from there.

Anyways I hope you all have a good weekend, and always remember that tomorrow’s a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 126: Relieved

Day 126:

Hey, what’s going on everyone? I hope you all had a good weekend and you were able to find time to relax and just take it easy. Unfortunately, it’s once again the day that the majority all dread fifty-two times out of the year, also known as Monday. However, that just means there’s another weekend on the horizon. That being said let’s quickly recap how my weekend of anti-socialism and writing went. To start off let’s go back to Friday.

In the last blog post, I mentioned that last Friday my goal was to get my current WIP to 87k words which were achieved and I was satisfied with how things turned out. Then the goal for the weekend was to get it to 93k because I figured 6k would be more than enough of a challenge because that’s what I seemed to be averaging on weekends. Now with that said this weekend didn’t really reflect those same numbers and instead of 6k words I finished the weekend off at just under 9k words so this weekend went extremely well. I’m hoping I can ride this wave through the week but I am skeptical because there are some obstacles ahead that I’m wary of and could cause delays but we’ll just have to see. With that said let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – Her we go for another week. Focusing on my current novel, as mentioned earlier, I made some significant progress. With that said for this week, I’m hoping to get to the 100k mark this week, and really that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. For a secondary goal, I’m going to stick to what’s been the typical 10k goal since again this week does have some obstructions. So just to clarify that by the end of Friday I want to be at 103K words, while at the same time, by then the story should be close to wrapping up.

Goal 2: Advertising – Then with advertising my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty it’ll be like as usual, and even though it feels like I write this message every week it’s still necessary and with that said I’ll also be doing Writer Wednesday this week. So expect to see a couple other posts this week in regard to the stories mentioned above. That being said since you’re here they’re both $0.99 on Amazon and together there are over 600 pages of content, so it’s definitely worth the price. Really they’re cheaper than a fair amount of consumable things you can buy in convenience stores, so why not kill some time and maybe get lost in one of my stories.

Anyways that’s pretty much all that I have for you today. So I hope you all have a good week, and remember to stay positive on this lovely Monday even though that may be a bit of a challenge, we’re all in this together. Also no matter what remember that when the going gets tough, tomorrow’s a different day and that’ll never change.

Till next time everyone,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 127: Low Expectations

Day 127:

T.G.I.F everyone.

I hope you all had a good week this week and were able to get everything you needed done, while still having a smile on your face at the end of the day. Thankfully there are only a few more hours left before the weekend so we just need to hold out a little longer, and hopefully, they’ll go by quickly. To start hopefully this blog will kill a couple minutes of your day.

So with that said, let me just quickly recap my week, starting with some things not related to writing. As some of you or none of you may know, I’ve been taking a wedding photography class these last couple of weeks, and to say the least, it’s been going pretty well. This week however we had a photo shoot with a couple and I think I snagged a couple good shots that I’m looking forward to editing. Anyways that’s just a little side note, now let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – Well another week come and gone, and I think I set my expectations pretty low this week. I don’t know what I was thinking this week, and maybe I expected more obstructions, but a 10k goal for the entire week I think was to low, and I said by the end of Friday I wanted to be at 103k words and as of last night I’m at 104k so after today I might take a little time off but I’m hoping I can get maybe another 2k in before the end of the day, so that I go into the weekend at 106k

Goal 2: Advertising – Alright next is advertising and my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty did the usual circuit that they do when I do writers Wednesday. From being posted here, twitter, Instagram and WordPress I’m hoping that a fair amount of people noticed them. Just thought I’d let you know.

Other than that though I don’t have much else going on. Also, I’ve renamed the blog to Li. A. Wake’s Writing Life if anyone cares. That’s just a subtle change, but anyways before I end this completely, let me just say that my goal for this weekend is to get to 110k since it is a holiday, and that’s likely gonna halt me a little bit. So I think that’s only 4k for the weekend, and I’m sure I can get that done, and besides, there are only a few more chapters in the story left so hopefully next week I can put it in the can. With that said, have a good weekend and a happy Easter and remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 128: Finishing & Starting

Day 128:

“Good Monday morning everyone.” They said sarcastically since they didn’t want to be up on this day.

I hope you all had a good weekend, and if you celebrate Easter, I hope you had a good day with your family. That being said it’s time for another week, and some people may have today off, while others don’t. Either way, we’re all in this together. So before we jump into my writing goals for this week, let’s just quickly go over somethings, and sorta outline how this week is going to play out since it’s going to be an odd one I think.

Anyways to start on Friday I mentioned that by Monday I wanted to be at 110k words in my current story, and I can happily say that, that was achieved and I’m currently just shy of 111k. Then when it comes to scheduling, what I laid out was 4k over the weekend and 2k on Friday, that all seemed to go to plan. Now, this week is going to involve more than the previous ones, but again before we get there, this week should be a little easier on me since Wednesday is my last photography class so it should free me up a bit. Alright, let’s move onto the goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So this goal is pretty simple, and I’m not setting a word goal this time around since the story itself is so close to being completed, and I personally think that by Wednesday it’ll be close to being wrapped up or just shy of it. We’ll have to see how things play out, but I’m hoping to have this done by the end of the week.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always I feel this needs to be here since it is a big thing that needs to be focused on and I’m hoping that with more stories on the horizon, it’ll bring more attention to The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. Just thought I’d let you know.

Goal 3: Editing / New Story? – I have nothing set in concrete yet, and this goal will likely rely on the completion date of my current story, but I’m leaning more towards the editing portion and getting the first draft done, before moving onto anything else. I think for my next story it’ll be more action based since the romance side of things is starting to take its toll on me. Again I guess we’ll have to see, so check back on Friday to find out what happens.

Other than that I don’t think I have much else planned for this week, and I am doing research on something on the sidelines for the future, that are both in and out of the writing realm. So make sure you always check back here to see what’s currently going on and always remember that tomorrow’s a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 129: Finishing Up

Day 129:

Hey, what’s going on everyone.

I hope your week has been great thus far, and we only have the remainder of the day left. We get through this together at the very least, and to those of you almost done your day or close to it, well you’re just the lucky ones out of all of us eh. Anyways since you’re already here, why not let me kill a few minutes of your day by rambling on about my week, and the things that I got myself involved.

Before we jump into the story side of things though, and I know you might not care since the title of the blog is Writing Life, but I finished my wedding photography class on Wednesday this week. Now the question I guess is what do I do with the stuff I learned and is it worth pursuing and blending it with my writing. I think so, but I can’t help be a little bit hesitant since it is a big step moving forward. That’s something that I’ll be working on, on the side and if anything comes of it, it’ll probably be mentioned here since in some way it’ll likely cross paths with my writing. Anyways I digress and let’s get into this Friday’s recap.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So basically the title of this goal isn’t accurate anymore since the Novel that I was working on is no longer in progress. It’s completed just like I had hoped and mentioned on the Monday recap. Let me give you the run down; basically, the story topped out at 212 pages before being edited, or formatted so I have high hopes that number will likely increase a fair bit. It’s just over 110k words. So editing will slowly be taking place on in the next couple of weeks. As always when it gets posted to Amazon, it’ll be the usual $0.99 in Canadian so it definitely won’t break your wallet. Also, I’m looking at creating a launch team for the new book, so if you’re interested in Adventure / Romance stories, and maybe want an early copy. Let me know, and I’ll keep you in mind.

Goal 2: Advertising – So as always I’m here to promote my two current stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty and soon there’ll be more to add to that list. That being said there’ll be a separate post as well for this, but there’s currently a free promotion going for Blind Beauty so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review it would mean the world to me.

Goal 3: Random Stuff – So since I finished up my current project yesterday, and I have some odd little things to do, I’m not really sure what I’ll be focusing on for the rest of the day, and I very well might just be doing some proofreading. Then depending on how long that takes, maybe I’ll figure out something a little more concrete by noon hopefully, even if it’s just some spring cleaning.

Anyways that’s pretty much I got for today, and hopefully, if you’re reading this, I was able to kill some of your time before the weekend. When it comes to the weekend though, like goal number three, I’m not sure what my plan is. If I can get all the proofing done, I might start on a new story, but if not I’ll probably just be editing until then. Again I guess we’ll see.

Alright so anyways again I hope I was able to kill some of your day and if you’re genuinely curious about my writing life, I’ll be back on Monday with a new update. Till then though remember that tomorrow’s a different day, and anything could happen.

See you next time everyone,

– Li. A. Wake

Day 130: Going Well

Day 130:

Good morning everyone,

It’s that time of the week again, where our beds call us back but we have to get up and push through the day. That’s right everyone, it’s Monday. Anyways let’s not focus on that, and let me tell you about my weekend and how it all became yet another frozen hell. Good ol’ Canada once again surprised us with a snowstorm out of the blue, and it was like Christmas all over again. Hopefully, this is the last time for a few months.

Anyways if you were around on Friday, then you already know that I went into this weekend without much of a plan, and the same went for Friday. Well, I have updates and I did more then I had initially anticipated. So starting back on Friday, I spent the entire day proofreading the first draft of my upcoming story that’s an adventure/romance novel. I spent most of the day on that, and then going into the weekend, I started yet another story. Before we get into the goals, I managed to get 6.7k words in and I may have written my longest chapter yet. Alright time to talk about goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – As mentioned above I started a new novel this weekend, and I’m getting close to the 7k mark. That being said I’m questioning how this week is gonna go, since there are going to be hiccups, so, for now, I’m going to say I want to put in 9k words at the very least, 11k at best if everything goes well. I might be biased here but I do think it’s going well, and I like the emotions that are going into it.

Goal 2: Advertising – When it comes to advertising my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty things are making steps but nothing too crazy. Like I mentioned on Friday Blind Beauty ran a free promotion, and over the three days I’m glad there were still some people interested in taking a look at it and there’ll be more free promotions in the future. This, however, was a good learning experience and something I’ll remember for the future.  That being said they’re back to being $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me.

Goal 3: Editing – So here’s where we hit a bit of a hiccup for this week because the first draft of my last story is ready to be edited. I’ll be starting that on Thursday since I figure I’ll have a fresh enough mind by then to go back into the story. Hopefully, that only consumes 2-3 days but who knows, and it’ll also be a good break from my current novel in progress.

Overall that’s pretty much all I have for you this Monday morning. If you read up to this point, I just want to say thank you, since it does mean a lot to have people interested in this and always remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 131: Back To Editing

Day 131:

Happy Friday everyone,

It’s almost the weekend and I hope that means you’ll have time to relax and get some extra sleep in, or just do something you don’t do on Monday – Friday. However we still have to get through this day first and that may be the toughest part for some of us, but I can tell you right now that mine will certainly be rather boring overall. That being said we might as well just jump right into the goals for this week and how they played out.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – For this goal, I mentioned how I was a little tight for time this week when it came to working on the new novel that I just started over the weekend. Going into this week I was close to the 7k mark and I mentioned that I wanted to try and get to 11k because my theory was I’d get 2k words in for both Tuesday & Wednesday which were my writing days and overall I flew past that goal and I ended up being closer to 13k words, so overall this was really a success, but there could be some slight hinderances going into next week but we’ll touch on that in a moment.

Goal 2: Advertising – Well let me start by saying that this week, I forgot to mention that I was doing Writer’s Wednesday this week, to promote my stories The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. Overall it went as well as usual, which basically just means I hope people saw it, while at the same time I’m trying to figure out a new strategy for them. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Goal 3: Editing – This is what I started yesterday, and will be continuing today and unfortunately into the weekend by the looks of it. Again if you’ve been here a while you know I don’t like editing, and to a point I actually dread it, but yesterday the problem was getting back into the swing of things, sine it took me ages just to get to the 20 page mark, I’m hoping today, I can iron that out a bit more. So wish me luck as I deal with that.

Overall there isn’t much else I have to say this time around, but before go, let me quickly discuss the weekend, and today even though I slightly touched on that in Goal 3. Anyways what my plan for this weekend is to get the editing done, so that I can spend the entirety of next week focusing on my new novel in progress. So hopefully by Sunday I’ll know where I’m at in terms of how next week will go.

Alright so that’s that everyone, I hope you all have an awesome weekend, and I hope this blog entry was able to kill some time for you to make Saturday come sooner. Also remember that no matter what Tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 132: The Grass Is Greener On The Other Side

Day 132:

Someone out there must like Monday’s right?

What’s going on everyone, I hope the weekend treated you all well and gave you some time to relax or do something you might not normally do. It’s crazy to think we’re already five months into this year, and truthfully I don’t have much to show for it, well hopefully for now at least, I hope the rest of the year starts to pick up. That being said can I just say how annoying it is to wait for something on backorder, it pretty much slows down the entire process of things. I digress, it’s a personal problem that hopefully gets solved here rather soon.

So anyways let’s get back on track, and talk about how my writing or more like editing went this weekend. Going back to Friday I mentioned how I wanted to be done editing completely by the end of this weekend, and I can say that by some miracle and a little trial and error I was able to pull that off. The second draft has been completed and now I have the week to focus on my novel in progress which we’ll get into as well as the other goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So I’m not too sure what my week is going to look like in terms of running around but I might do a little travelling in the city. That being said when it comes to this week’s writing the story is currently at 13K and after editing, I may not be able to hit my usual word goal so, I’m gonna aim for 23K by the end of the week, because I feel that, that’s a fair goal, and something I should be able to achieve even if there are some hiccups along the way.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always after a week where I do a writer Wednesday my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will simply be shared on their usual social medias in hopes to garner some attention, and I may run a promotion this week on The Thirty Pound Backpack but I don’t know for sure yet. That’ll be more of a Friday thing if it happens.  That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Overall that’s pretty much all I have for the start of this week. I hope you all are able to get through the next five days rather quickly and thank you for taking some time if you’ve read up to this point, and I hope to see you here again on Friday. Anyways always remember that tomorrow’s a different day, and anything could happen tomorrow.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 133: Time Flew By

Day 133:

How’s it going everyone,

I hope you all had a good week, and as always this post is just a reminder that we’re on the homestretch to the weekend. Hopefully, we all can find some time to relax and just take it easy before next week starts. That being said I have an interesting week ahead of me next week and I need to start gathering some of my photography stuff because there’s potential for me to be landing a photography gig. Anyways enough about me, and let’s get into what this blog is really about, which is writing. So let’s get right into the goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So when I set this goal on Monday, I started the week at 13K words. I wasn’t sure how my week was going to play out and I also started walking again in the mornings. I find it helps with the creativeness, but that being said the week went better then I initially expected and at the end of last night I was at 22K words, so I’ll definitely be finishing this goal up today, and then I’ll have to figure out my plan her for the weekend after this next paragraph, but I think I already know what it’s going to be.

Goal 2: Advertising – So another week has come and gone, and as mentioned on Monday; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty was advertised on the usual social networks. Again the indie life is a struggle and I’m still learning each day, but also stressing about some of my other stories, so I’m really hoping that this photography gig works out. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Overall that’s pretty much all I have for you all today. It’s a pretty quick update post but I think it does the job it needs to. However before I sign off for this week, let me quickly fill you in about how I’m going to approach this weekend. I’ll admit I almost forgot about this but the second draft of my last story goes into editing on Sunday but with everything said and done I might do the proofing for it on Saturday, then start the editing on Sunday. That’s the plan anyway.

Alright so that’s enough from me this week, thank you all for taking the time to read this and always remember that tomorrow’s a different day.

Until next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 134: No More Titles After this

Day 134:

Here we are again on what’s yet another Monday. I know that there’s some of us out there dreading the fact but it is what it is. We’re all in this together, just like that high school musical song. Anyways before I get too sidetracked, I just want to say that I hope you all had a good weekend, and also I failed to realize that Mother’s day was also this weekend, so I hope that went well for everyone as well.

That being said let me go into what I found myself getting up to this weekend. I want to start off by saying that I don’t know if I burned out or if I was just overly lazy but this weekend didn’t really go the way I expected. So basically I spent Friday getting what I needed done in terms of my story. Saturday I spent a good amount of it proofreading, but then only edited a couple pages. Then Sunday I started editing but whether it was because of mother’s day I lost a couple hours and overall I got a late start that I was just unable to get the amount edited that I wanted. Anyways with that said let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Editing – So unlike previous week’s this is one of those odd times where the first goal isn’t related to the novel I’m working on. As mentioned above I started editing yesterday, and by the way, things are going, and due to past experience, I’m hoping I can get editing done by Friday. In Friday’s post, I’ll probably talk more about the novel but this time around the main focus is editing and getting all 210 pages edited by the end of the week.

Goal 2: Advertising – Well it’s an even week for me here which just means aside from the regular posting of my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on social media, I’ll also be doing a Writer Wednesday as well so there’ll be a couple extra posts.  That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Other than that I don’t have much else to say in terms of my writing. Later on today I have a meeting to meet with someone looking for a photographer and I’m really hoping that works out. Guess we’ll have to wait and see but for now, I hope you all have a good week, and always remember that tomorrow’s a different day no matter what happens. Thank you for reading up to this point, for that you get a virtual cookie.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 135: Not The Week I Was Hoping For

Day 135:

Hey everyone, how’s it going?

I just want to start off by saying that I hope you all had a good week and were able to get everything that you need to do, done. In my case though that just wasn’t what Fate had in store for me. The whole week has been a roller coaster, and the amount of writing that I did was hardly existent. So my week basically involved me getting more into event photography and trying to learn the ropes, and instead of having two weeks to prepare like initially planned. I got a day, and then the photoshoot went okay, but going in with hardly any instruction it was definitely a real learning period, and I know the photos didn’t turn out the way I wanted, but oh well. Live and learn. To say the least, I’m definitely not in the film world anymore, and then I hurt my knee yesterday so yea it’s been a rough week. Anyways enough of photography stuff let’s get into the writing side of things.

Goal 1: Editing – Well I mentioned on Monday’s post that I hoped to get the editing of my current WIP done by today. However as mentioned above it’s been days since I last touched it, and I’m hoping today I can make more of a dent into it. I wish there was more to say but this goal was ultimately a failure.

Goal 2: Advertising – This goal went as planned, and both The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty were promoted on their usual social medias as well as one a few extra since I did a Writer Wednesday this week. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Anyways now that we have the results of this week’s goals done, it’s time to turn the focus to this weekend. Again I’m still in limbo with everything, and constantly feel like I’m on call. In the meantime though, I’m going to try and get at least the editing done so that I can keep moving that along. However, I think that may take the entirety of today and the weekend to get done since it’s only at page 80 of 210.

Other then that though, there’s not much else to say for today. So as always thank you for taking the time out of your day, to read through this and I was hopefully able to help kill some of your Friday so that the weekend comes sooner, and always remember tomorrow’s a different day.

Till next time,

Writing Life Day 136

Day 136:

Buckle up everyone, because here we go again. It’s Monday once more. That being said I hope you all had a good weekend and were able to find time to relax. However we can’t ignore the fact that it’s a new week, but I’m sure if we stay positive it’ll be over quickly. At least that’s what I’m hoping. Also, just a side note on Day 134 I said there wouldn’t be any more titles in the top, and on 135 there was a title and that’s mainly because I forgot and I was really tired on Friday. Like cereal in the fridge tired.

Anyways let’s get into the weekend recap. On Friday I mentioned that I hoped to get the editing done on my story done, this weekend, and unfortunately other things on Friday took more time than expected. To say the least the editing didn’t get done and I still have 20 pages to get to, which I’m hoping to finish later today. I’m hoping. With that out of the way though it’s time to get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Editing – As mentioned above this goal is the top priority but it’ll probably take the least amount of time to do. I really only two hours at most I think to see this goal to completion and I’m hoping it done later today.

Goal 2: Advertising – This week is just a normal advertising week where my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will be posted on their regular social media’s but that’s pretty much it and then next week I’ll be doing a Writer Wednesday again. This week though it’s just back to basics. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Goal 3: Novel In Progress – If the editing goes well, and my week doesn’t get as hectic as last week I’m hoping to get back to writing a bit. If I can I’m hoping to get at least 8 – 10k words in since the story is still in the first act and I’d really like to keep moving it along.

Other than that though I don’t have much else planned for this week, so with that said I hope you all have an amazing week, and hopefully it isn’t too stressful. Also always remember that no matter what happens tomorrow will always be a different day and thank you for taking the time out of your day to check out this little blog of mine.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 137

Day 137:

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday! We did it, everyone, we made it through yet another week. I hope you all were able to have a good week and get what you needed to do, done. Surprisingly my week was rather quiet and I’m not sure how I felt about that since my photography side, and my writing side seems to both want attention. This week though I was primarily focused on my writing as I jumped back into my current WIP. So with that said let’s get into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Editing – So as I mentioned on Monday I still had about two hours worth of editing to do, and I can happily say that this goal finished right on time. By the end of Monday, I had everything edited and I was ready to move on, back to my current work in progress that is still in the production phase. However, I’m debating when I’ll get back into editing, either Monday or even Sunday depending on how much I want to do it.

Goal 2: Advertising – As mentioned on Monday I was only focusing on posting my stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on the usual social medias, and as usual it turned up little results. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Goal 3: Novel In Progress – For this goal, I hate to admit it but I didn’t take reference of where I was starting for this week. However, I do know I made 8k words since I went from 25k to 33k  as of last night so I’m hoping to get a couple thousand more today. So far though I’m happy with how the stories going so far, and the transition from editing to writing has been fairly clean as of today.

Other than that though I don’t have much more to mention for today. Basically, my weekend plans consist of writing, for the majority of it, but there’s also a chance that I’ll be doing a photo shoot on Sunday but I’m still waiting for that to be confirmed. Then going into next week, I’ll probably get back to editing which I’m looking so forward to. Note the sarcasm in my typed words lol.

Anyways thank you all for taking the time to check this out if you did, and always remember that tomorrow’s a different day.

Until next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 138

Day 138:

Good Monday morning everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend these last couple days but unfortunately, it’s time to get back to business, as a new week starts. However I hope you were able to relax and maybe sit down with a nice book, or maybe you even did some writing. That’s what I got up to at least. This weekend I wasn’t a hundred percent sure about what would be going on with my days since there was talk of a potential photoshoot, which ultimately didn’t happen.

So really my weekend was spent walking a few kilometres for exercise, and then spent the rest of it staring at a computer screen as I completed two chapters, that I’m sure brought me close to 5k words overall. Currently, I’m at chapter 15 so there are only 20 more chapters to go, so I’m making progress slowly on that front. That being said, let’s go into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Editing – So, unfortunately, the last edit of my previous WIP is starting tomorrow, I still need to do a final proofread and then actually do the editing. I’m hoping it goes rather smoothly now that this’ll be the fourth draft. I’m planning the week around this so I’m not really expecting to write until the weekend, where I may have another photography opportunity come up.

Goal 2: Advertising – In terms of my writing schedule it’s an even week for me which means I’ll be doing a Writers Wednesday on as you may have guess Wednesday where I’ll be promoting my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty. They’ll be promoted on a couple more websites than usual, and I’m just hoping they spark some attention. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Anyways other than that I don’t have much else, and as I mentioned above I’m going to hold off on a Goal 3 this week which would have been my novel in progress, but again with the editing, I just don’t think I’ll have time. With that said I’m going to leave this post here, and thank you for taking the time to check this out, and I hope I was able to make your Monday go a little bit faster. Also remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 139

Day 139:

Well, here we are again on yet another Friday.

Let me just start off by saying that it’s been an interesting week, and things are slowly progressing. We’ll get into the writing stuff in just a moment, but first I want to kill a bit more of your time so that hopefully the weekend will come sooner. That’s my hope at least. So basically as I mentioned on Monday near the very end of the Writing Life post, I mentioned potentially having another photoshoot this weekend, and I can confirm as of yesterday that, that will be the case. However, it does sort of leave a bit of a wrench in my plan, that I’m going to have to work around. That being said let’s get into this week’s goals, which really weren’t goals but more of my plan for the week.

Goal 1: Editing – This was a goal that I was really praying for this week. I was ultimately hoping to have this done by the end of the day, but that sadly seems like it won’t be the case. As of the end of last night, I’m currently at the 130-page mark of 211 so other than planning at organizing my stuff for tomorrow, I’m hoping to get at least 40 more pages done and then I’ll wrap it all up on Sunday.

Goal 2: Advertising – As mentioned on Monday this week was going to be a Writers Wednesday week where I’d end up promoting my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on additional social medias, which is exactly what I did, and I’m just hoping they manage to get people to see them. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Anyways this post is a little bit shorter this week, and I don’t have to much else to add then what’s already been said. For the weekend, my plan consisted of editing for the majority of the day while doing a gear check for tomorrow. Then tomorrow I’ll be in photo mode all day and editing those and I might get a chance to edit, then finally Sunday will hopefully be a day spent editing, and I’ll finish up the remains of what I don’t get done today. Other then that though, that’s all I got. As always remember that no matter what tomorrow’s a different day and anything could happen.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 140

Day 140:

Here we go again, another week begins, and with that comes another Monday.

I hope you all had awesome weekends and were able to get a lot done, or just simply relax, and take in what feels like the beginning of summer in some places. That being said for me, my weekend went pretty well. I had another photoshoot, that I feel went a lot better than the first one. However it was also out in the sun all day and that’s just draining, but I managed to avoid a sunburn. Other then that though, I managed to also get some editing in, but that’ll be discussed further in the goals, which we’ll go to right now.

Goal 1: Editing – As mentioned above, I did some editing this weekend, but with editing photos and such I didn’t get as much done as I would’ve liked. To say the least, I have 15 more pages to go before the story is finished and then I’m not sure what I’ll do, and it may get added to my increasing backlog of stories since I’m still debating on how to approach the advertising. Hopefully, I can get this done by the end of the day.

Goal 2: Advertising – With this goal, it’s the same every other week for the most part. Although this week I won’t be doing a writer Wednesday, so my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will be posted on the normal social medias. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Goal 3: Novel In Progress – If everything goes well and I get my editing done today, then I’m hoping that I can get back to writing. I just finished getting through what I believe to be the first act of the story, and I’m excited with how things are going so far, that If I can get three days of writing in at least, I’d be happy with the results.

Alright, that pretty much covers what I got planned for this week, however, there’s also some unaccounted for factors. One of them being the potential for another photo shoot later in the week, likely on the weekend, and possibly even some discussions of future project opportunities, to be honest, though I do miss writing, but I look at the change as a positive.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I have for this Monday, with that said I hope you all have a great week, and hopefully I’ll see you back here on Friday. Till then though always remember that tomorrow’s a different day and anything can happen.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 141

Happy Friday everyone!

It’s that time of the week again where we can sit back relax and enjoy the sun. Well most of us can, unfortunately, that won’t be me this weekend, since I’m going to be busy until the end of the weekend for the most part. Although it won’t be because of writing, instead it’ll be due to the photography side of my life, which has really started kicking off. This weekend, I’ll be doing the photography for two events and I’m both excited and nervous because a part of it will involve me working on my own. I’m welcoming the challenge but still got that little bit of nervousness. Anyways enough about my photography side of life, it’s time to get into the writing side of things.

Goal 1: Editing – Alright so going into the week, I still had a couple of pages left to edit, and I was hoping to get them done by the end of Monday and I can happily say that that happened to be the case. Now I’m not sure when the final product will be released but in my opinion, the final draft has officially been completed. So keep an eye out for updates on that one.

Goal 2: Advertising – As always on these lists of goals, promoting my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty they were posted on their usual social networks this week, but next week it’ll once again be a writer Wednesday but also a bit of a crazy week for me as well, so hopefully it all goes smoothly. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Goal 3: Novel In Progress – So my final goal for this week was to get back to writing and as busy as this week has been since there was a couple added things to do, I have managed to get at least two chapters done this week, so even though it’s a little amount I’m happy with it at the end of the day, and slowly but surely it’ll get to the completed point of its life, it’ll just take a little longer now.

Okay so yeah that pretty much sums up my week, and as mentioned above you already have an idea what my weekend will look like. Unfortunately, there probably won’t be any writing this weekend, unless the photo editing goes well. At the very least though, I hope I was able to make your Friday go by faster and always remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 142

Good Monday Morning!

Did that pass as not sarcastic, in all seriousness though it is Monday and I hope you all managed to have a good weekend. Hopefully, you were able to find time to relax or just take life easy for a bit. Although it’s that time of the week again to get back to work. That being said maybe you’re like me and you already spent the weekend working to that I say I hope you have a day off in the near future.

With that said let me just say I wasn’t able to get to writing this weekend, and as I mentioned on Friday, I spent my weekend doing some event photography. To say the least, it went pretty well but I’m still scrolling and editing so that’s going to take a bit but I’m hoping I can wrap it up today. Anyways let’s get into this week’s writing goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – I’m not sure when I’ll truly get a moment to attack this goal, but I’m hoping either tomorrow or Wednesday since I’m currently booked up with other things, photography being one as I mentioned above. Although if I do get to writing this week I’m hoping to get at least 2 – 3 chapters done, and I think with the time I have planned for myself that should be achievable.

Goal 2: Advertising – For this goal, it’s pretty self-explanatory, in my schedule this counts as an even week which means that I’ll be doing a writing Wednesday to promote my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on a couple extra social media platforms then usual, including here on Blogger. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Other than that everyone, I don’t have much else to say in regards to my writing this week. It’s a short post and hopefully, that’ll mean the goals are achievable but we’ll have to see in the next post coming this Friday. Till then I hope you all have a great week, and always remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 143

Day 143

Good Friday morning everyone!

I hope everyone had a good week this week, and in only a few hours it’ll finally be the weekend again. That being said my week went fairly well, and the photography side of my life is going well, and people are happy with the content that I’m providing. That being said this is a writing blog so let’s get into talking about that, and going over the goals that I set myself for this week.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So for both Wednesday and Thursday I managed to sit down and do some writing. I’ve nailed out a couple and I’m making good progress in getting to the finish line of my story. I’m past the halfway mark, with only about 14 chapters left with potentially some bonus chapter or scene depending on how I’m feeling about it but at the end of the day, even though the goal is vague I’m checking this one off as a success.

Goal 2: Advertising – As I mentioned on Monday, in my schedule I considered this week as an even week which meant I did a Writers Wednesday. Part of that involved posting my two stories here; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty as well as on other social media platforms. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Aside from those two goals, there isn’t much more to add. Going into this weekend, I’m going to spend my time writing since my last couple weekends have been occupied, and the sooner I can nail out my rewrites the better it’ll be, or at least I think so. If all goes well I’m hoping to at least get a couple chapters done. To find out what really happens, check back on Monday for some updates.

That’s all I have for you this week, so I hope that I was able to kill some of your Friday and bring you closer to Saturday. Also, remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 144

Day 144

Good morning everyone.

Another weekend has come and gone and it’s time to get back to work. I hope everyone had a good weekend and was able to find some time to relax or just do something that you love doing. For me, mine was a little bit of a roller coaster, to say the least. Basically, it started off with a late night call on Friday of a potential photoshoot on Saturday that was completely last minute, and after waiting around all day Saturday it never ended up happening. Might I just say that is one of my biggest pet peeves, but oh well. Aside from that though I did do a little bit of writing this weekend as my story continues to progress. With that said let’s jump right into the goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – So I was hoping to get a couple chapters written this weekend and I sort of did. I think I got close to one and a half done. Although I’m really trying to focus more on the relationship between the two characters since I went them to be anxious but also reliant on each other. For this week, I think there may be a couple hiccups but if I could get to chapter 25 by the end of Friday I think I’d be happy but it’ll likely be 23 if I’m lucky.

Goal 2: Advertising – This goal is almost like clockwork, and there’s very little change. Unlike last week where I did a Writer Wednesday this week will remain pretty basic as I advertise my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on the usual social media platforms. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Other then that there isn’t much else I have to talk about here. The goals have been set, and there is potential for a couple photoshoots this week, and on the weekend, so I think that’ll be on the back of my mind for the next couple days here. Other than that though I’ll be focusing on my writing and moving the story along.

With that said I hope you all have a great week, and I’ll see you all back here on Friday to relay my results. Also as always, never forget that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 145

Day 145

Happy Friday everyone.

We did it. We made it to the end of the week, and with that comes the follow up to this weeks goals, and unfortunately they aren’t the most positive this week. That being said, sit down, relax and let me kill some of your Friday so that we can get to the weekend just a little bit faster.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – For this week, I was hoping to get my novel to chapter 23 – 25 but at the end of the day I only got to 22. Why you might ask, well because I got booked for a photo shoot on Tuesday and spent Wednesday editing the photos and learning more about the software I’m using. So in that regard it was good but I was really hoping to write, and I’m hoping I might get some in today, which would mean I can still hit the 23 chapter mark. I’ll have to see though.

Goal 2: Advertising – Well as always, this goal is just like week’s prior, and at the end of the day might be this week’s only success, since it is so simple. Although for those who might be new here I posted my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on their usual social media platforms. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Anyways there isn’t much else to discuss about this week’s goals in terms of writing. However, let’s quickly take a moment and discuss the weekend. Basically, I’m hoping to do some writing at some point, but once again my photography life is also playing a prominent role, and I have two photoshoots on Saturday and then I need to edit the photos, so writing is going to be the end goal, and I’m not setting a number value to it.

That being said, thank you for checking out this blog post, it’s greatly appreciated and I hope you have an amazing weekend. Also remember that no matter what tomorrow will always be a different day, and anything can happen.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 146

Day 146

Here we go again on another Monday morning, and a new week is about to begin.

Alright, so where do I begin today. Well, how about we start with the fact that I haven’t gotten to do any writing in a couple days now, but I have been all over the place doing some photography and stuff, so that’s been fun. However I managed to wrap all of that last night, and if all goes well I might be able to do some writing, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – This goal here might be a bit of a challenge but at the very least I’m going to do what I can to get some writing done this week. Even if it’s just a couple chapters, mentally I need the break to just relax and get lost in a different world. Besides I’m also starting to miss the characters as weird as that may be. That being said goal wise I’m just aiming for maybe 2 or 3 chapters.

Goal 2: Advertising – For this one, in my schedule, it’s an even numbers week, since I’ve started this whole writing journey. Meaning that this week I’ll be doing a writing Wednesday, which will involve posting my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on additional social media platforms then usual including here. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Other then that there isn’t much else to add here, also as of now, I don’t have any photoshoots scheduled for this week. So hopefully I’ll be able to get some writing done, but like I always say tomorrow’s a different day, and anything could happen. So with that, I’m signing off for now, and I’ll be back on Friday.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 147

Day 147

Good Friday morning everyone, I hope you had a good week, and it’s finally time to relax.

However, before we even get to this week’s goals let me just say that I’ve really slacked this week. My writing has been less than impressive and I really thought that I would’ve got more done. That being said I don’t have any photoshoots for a while, and I also have a wedding this weekend. So I might try and get a couple of photos there. Anyways let’s jump into this week’s goals.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – On Monday when I made this goal I was simply aiming to get 2 or 3 chapters done with my current story that I’m rewriting. For the most part, I managed to get 2 chapters done and after today, I’m hoping to make even more progress, but if it’s anything like the rest of the week has been it might be a struggle to get it done.

Goal 2: Advertising – As mentioned on Monday, this week was an even week in my schedule and I did a Writer Wednesday which basically just meant that I posted my two stories, The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on a few more social media platforms then usual. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Alright, so that’s pretty much all that I have for this week. As mentioned above I have a wedding tomorrow so there probably won’t be a lot of writing tomorrow, but on Sunday I might be able to get something done. I’ll just have to wait and see. Anyways that’s all for today folks, and always remember that no matter what tomorrow is a different day and anything can happen.

Until next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 148

Day 148

Good Monday morning everyone.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and were able to find some time to relax and just take it easy. As some may know if they read last Friday’s post, my weekend consisted of attending a wedding, and afterwards, I spent the rest of the weekend, working on some photography editing stuff. All in all, I, unfortunately, was unable to get around to writing this weekend, but I think this week, I’ll certainly have some time if I can get my laziness in check. Anyways enough about my weekend of photography and let’s get back into the writing side of things.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – Alright so I’m trying to hype myself up this weekend, and I’m going to try and knock out a couple of chapters. At the moment I don’t have anything photography related on the horizon so I can dedicate a good amount of my time getting my story to the finish line. For this week, just to play it safe I’m only setting a goal of getting three chapters done since that seems to be a struggle for me as of recently.

Goal 2: Advertising – New week, but same old goal two. So seeing as last week was an even-numbered week in my schedule, there won’t be a Writer Wednesday this week, meaning that my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty will just be on their usual social media platforms. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Anyways that’s pretty much all that I have for today, and I’m really hoping that this week’s goals go well. That being said I won’t know until I stare, and with that said thank you, everyone, for reading this, and always remember that tomorrow’s a different day and anything can happen.

Till next time,

– Li. A. Wake

Writing Life Day 149

Day 149

Happy Friday everyone, we made it.

If you’re reading this I hope you had a good week, and thankfully I’m happy to say that in a few hours it’ll be the weekend. I’m planning not to overdo it this weekend, but unfortunately, my goals for this week didn’t quite go the way that I had hoped in terms of my goals. With that being said let’s jump into this week’s recap.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – In Monday’s post I mentioned having to hype myself up this week, and at first I was but then the photography side of my life took priority, even though I didn’t anticipate for it. Anyways back to writing on Monday I mentioned wanting to get three chapters done and in reality, I only managed to get one and a half if that done. It sucked, to say the least, but I’m hoping I can salvage what’s left today, even if it is just one chapter.

Girls 2: Advertising – Well with every week this goal doesn’t seem to change, and maybe the only success of this week. Anyways for anyone new here I generally post my two stories; The Thirty Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty on a couple of social media platforms. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Other than that though that’s basically been the extent of my week, and nothing to amazing happened in regards to writing. This weekend however I’m going to try and put more time into it, since I really just need a bit of an escape and just vanish from reality from a bit. So with that said I’m going to end this here, and always remember that no matter what happens tomorrow will always be a different day where anything can happen.

Till next time,

Writing Life Day 150

Day 150

Good morning everyone.

I hope you all had a good weekend, but it’s time to start a new week of adventures and work. That being said we can always look forward to another weekend in five days or so. My weekend though was a bit of a mess, and there wasn’t a whole lot going on since I’m still primarily focusing on my photography stuff since it is currently my biggest source of income. However I did manage to get some writing done this weekend, and even though it may have not been a lot it was a nice escape from reality. Anyways today is going to be a little different because I think I’m going to take a break from this blogging thing for a couple weeks, so I want to lay out sort of my goals for the next four weeks.

Goal 1: Novel In Progress – These next four weeks, I’m hoping to get my current novel done, and with the way things are going it’ll probably work out that way since there are only 9 or so chapters left to complete before the end of the story, then I’m also hoping to sit down and get some covers made and by the time I resume this blog I’m hoping to at least have 4 stories completed, and ready to go on Amazon. I just need time to sit down and do it is all.

Goal 2: Advertising – Alright for this goal, because this last week will involve a writing Wednesday, I’ll be promoting my two stories; Pound Backpack & Blind Beauty here and on other social media platforms. That being said they’re both $0.99 so it’s definitely worth it if you like romance novel’s or teen fictions, and if you pick up a copy, all I ask in return is if you could please leave a review since it would mean the world to me, and soon there’ll be even more added to the Li. A. Wake collection.

Alright, other than that there isn’t much else that I have planned for the coming weeks. I’m sure that they’re going to be busy but at the moment I just haven’t been focusing on it enough that I feel it warrants these constant updates. So even though this is the start of a bit of a hiatus, I hope you all have a good couple of weeks, and always remember that no matter tomorrow is a different day, where anything can happen.

Till next time,
